Should Your Tax Dollars Keep Going to Planned Parenthood? Ben Nelson Says Yes.

The following letter was sent to Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson this morning. It comes from Denny Hartford, Director of Vital Signs Ministries and was originally posted on Vital Signs Blog.

Dear Senator Ben Nelson,

We have asked you for many years to join in the effort to remove tax funding from Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion organization, an extremely profitable business that is now killing nearly 350,000 preborn babies every year through surgical abortion.

And many, many more through deadly chemicals.

Though you’ve long claimed to be pro-life, you have stubbornly refused to cut government funding to Planned Parenthood. What a shameful legacy to leave.

Senator Nelson, even the revelations through undercover videotapes of Planned Parenthood staffers from around the country covering up statutory rape and giving advice to sex traffickers in how to escape the law, haven't been enough to budge you from your enthusiastic support of Planned Parenthood receiving huge amounts of taxpayer money. It's really quite incredible that you continue to think you can pose as a pro-life politician given your unrelenting support for the country's #1 abortion provider.

Yes, I know what you will write me in response -- that same old form letter that uses the “separate pockets” argument that you've tried to sell so many times before. It just doesn't make sense, Senator. Any dollar given to Planned Parenthood from taxpayers frees the abortion organization from using its own dollars (and they rake in millions) any way they desire, including promoting sexual promiscuity among young teenagers and paying the salaries of abortionists.

No, Senator Nelson, Planned Parenthood should be denied even one dime of taxpayer money. And because you've defended for years this outrageous misuse of government funds, Ben Nelson should be denied another term in the U.S. Senate.

8 Reasons Why We're Against Planned Parenthood

I was asked the other night about this new organization and just why the groups and churches that are a part of NAPP are so adamantly opposed to Planned Parenthood. Good question. But I explained that we couldn't just give one answer to the question.

Because there were at least eight. Eight very well-documented and extremely serious reasons.

Here they are:

1) Planned Parenthood kills preborn babies for profit. Hundreds of thousands of babies. And by payments to surgical abortionists and sales of chemical abortifacients, Planned Parenthood is raking in millions of dollars every year. They are the largest abortion providing, abortion promoting business in the world.

2) Planned Parenthood is the most aggressive promoter of abortion rights in the U.S. and abroad. It's influence in Congress, the United Nations, in state governments, in social service agencies, and among government educators is huge.

3) Planned Parenthood promotes (and enables) sexual promiscuity, even among very young teenagers.

4) Planned Parenthood promotes sexual perversion and does so with obscene and blasphemous materials.

5) Planned Parenthood holds firm to the racism and elitism of its eugenics founders.

6) Planned Parenthood has been caught on many occasions in criminal cover-ups of statutory rape.

7) Planned Parenthood operates many unsafe, unsanitary abortion clinics. It has had several abortionists who have killed adult women through botched abortion. It dispenses very dangerous abortifacient drugs in an unprofessional manner like over the phone and through "at home abortion kits." It works continually against parental rights and control. It works continually against any and all limitations on abortion.

And, oh yeah...Number 8) Planned Parenthood makes about $100,000,000 every year from American taxpayers.

Nuff said? The question thus becomes -- are you opposed to Planned Parenthood?

Shocking Sexual Predator Cases: Penn State and Planned Parenthood

An institution once held in high esteem by the public has been shamed by revelations that it failed to report sexual abuse against children. Despite knowledge by its officials that sexual predators were victimizing children, they swept it under the rug. Now that the news media has brought this to public attention, the institution is facing well-placed anger and demands for justice. Highly placed officials have been forced out.

The federal government is investigating whether the refusal to report this child sexual abuse violated federal laws that apply because of reporting requirements attached to the large amounts of federal funding. An excellent public image just one week ago has now been justifiably tarnished as people rethink their support for an institution that could effectively facilitate sexual abuse against children.

I’m speaking of Penn State. But this should also describe Planned Parenthood...

Reducing America's Two Great Deficits

"Planned Parenthood may fly under the banner of 'women's health' or 'family planning,' but it was responsible for 332,278 abortions in this country just in 2009, or one every 95 seconds. That's roughly the population of a city the size of Cincinnati. Now would be a good time, while Congress is supposed to be looking for ways to control the federal deficit, to cut off Planned Parenthood's water. Such a move would address both of the country's two great deficits: fiscal and moral." (Paul Greenberg)

Records Gone...But Not the Effects

From Justine's story -- "There was nothing safe or gentle about the abortion I had. Unfortunately I may never know the extent of the damage I endured from the abortion at Planned Parenthood 23 years ago. The statute limitations has long expired for me to take legal action. I could only hope that for men & women considering abortion that they will consider the risks."

$1 Million a Day Isn't Enough? Is Planned Parenthood Cheating the Government for More?

Planned Parenthood rakes in about a million dollars every day from taxpayers. But is that not enough for them? Is Planned Parenthood training their employees to cheat the government to garner yet more taxpayer money? Phil Kline reports from LifeNews.com.

A new federal whistle blower lawsuit filed in Federal Court in Texas on October 28th alleges Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast (PPGC) engaged in prolonged and coordinated fraud to bilk federal and state programs of millions of dollars. PPGC operates 8 clinics in Texas and 2 in Louisiana.

The suit, filed by a former employee of the abortion provider, states that Planned Parenthood trained employees to falsify medical charts to justify billing the federal government for services that were not rendered and also to improperly bill the government for abortion services.

Federal funds provided to Planned Parenthood may not be used for abortions. In the suit, however, Karen Reynolds, a former “health care assistant,” at Planned Parenthood’s clinic in Lufkin, Texas, states that Planned Parenthood: “trained and instructed the employees at its twelve regional clinics to bill the government for medical services that were not medically necessary, to bill the government for services that were not actually provided…to falsify information in patient medical charts.”

Reynolds was an employee of Planned Parenthood from 1999-2009 and claims the fraud continued during the entire time of her employment.

The Complaint provides detailed information on how employees were required to go through “powerpoint” training sessions teaching how to defraud federal taxpayers.

The complaint also quotes internal Planned Parenthood memos directing staff members to alter the reasons for patient visits in order to obtain reimbursement from the federal government for services not provided and for services for which federal dollars cannot be used...

Washington Times Editorial: "Planned Parenthood Targets Blacks"

Planned Parenthood, a self-styled “health care provider” and “informed educator” on women’s sexual health, has been promoting abortion since its inception in 1916. This has had a devastating affect on America.

Since the 1973 Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade, which overturned most state and federal laws outlawing or restricting abortion, an estimated 48,6 million babies have been aborted, according to the National Right to Life Committee. In particular, blacks are disproportionately impacted by abortion. Is Planned Parenthood deliberately acting to reduce the black population? Is it practicing a form of eugenics?
